Prolab started operations in 1985 under the name Les Industries Antifriction
McLab inc. At the time, the company had about 10 lubricant products
on the market. Investing quickly and massively in R&D, it then
developed and manufactured high-end products under the brand name
Prolab with built-in antifriction treatment. In 1994, Prolab obtained
ISO 9001 certification.
In July 2000, the company completed a major reorganization in preparation for Stock Market listing under the name Prolab Technologies inc. (Stock Symbol PLT.SV). The company has two subsidiaries: Prolab Technolub inc. and Prolaïk inc. Prolab Technolub manufactures
and markets lubricants and treatments for industrial customers as well as the automotive and recreational vehicle sectors. Prolaïk manufactures oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids and related products.
The company is now listed on the Stock Exchange and, with three Patents Pending, has the capacity to develop and market environmentally friendly lubricants, treatments, and industrial chemicals.
