TD-22 is the most complete and best performing antifriction treatment for manual transmission on the market. The high quality components of the antifriction treatment TD-22 formula ensure maximum performance for manual transmissions. When added to oil, TD-22 reduces friction, wear, noise and heat; its use results in smoother gear shifting and more efficient power transmission in all conditions.
Used in a preventive manner, TD-22 contributes to lowering the operation temperatures, provides excellent thermal stability, increases oil resistance to oxidation and protects the system against rust and corrosion.
Types of Application
Use TD-22 in all types of manual transmissions as well as in differentials (except, for the WARNING below).
The antifriction treatment TD-22 is compatible with all mineral and synthetic oils.
Directions for Use
Substitute 350 ml of your manual transmission oil with TD-22. For best results, add this treatment to new oil. A 350 ml bottle of TD-22 will treat as much as 6 litres of manual transmission oil. For crankcases of more than 6 litres, substitute 10% of your manual transmission oil, up to a maximum of 2 litres. Under those circumstances, you can also use Prolab's TD-234 (see TD-234 specification sheet).
Some manufacturers (such as Ford) recommend an automatic transmission fluid for certain types of manual transmission gearboxes: in that case, still use TD-22, specifically designed for the types of gears found in manual transmission.
TD-22 should not be used in limited-slip differentials. For that type of equipment, Prolab's TDA-62 treatment should be used (see TDA-62 specification sheet).
TD-22 is not intended to repair mechanical defects.
